Rainy Weekends

So this a.m. I was intent on going to church and my husband came up to tell me we had no water and showers, teeth brushing and general morning grooming activities weren't going to happen so we gave the dog her breakfast and insulin and snuggled back down in bed for more zzzzzzz's.

So my medicine doesn't seem to be kicking in since I injected on Thursday...I'm thinking the humidity is really factoring in.

Hubby is getting ready to leave on another business trip. So much travel with his work and I seem to struggle more with it after all these years rather than rolling with it...I think because he pitches in so much around here to help conserve my energy...I seem to always pay a price healthwise if he travels or we travel regardless of how careful I am.

I ran into an acquaintance and asked him how to set up a blog and he told me about this site.

So why blog? I want to journal on a regular basis my journey through life with a strong faith in our Risen Lord and Savior and how it has grown through developing a life-changing chronic illness nine years ago. Some days are good, some bad, some horrendous and all of them are used to stretch me as a person and increase my faith. The caveat is that I have to allow the illness and effects of it to stretch and grow me and that isn't always easy when you have lived w/ pain pretty much non-stop for the past nine years.
